Don’t be to proud to be humble.
In the book of Proverbs we’re told that
(Proverbs 16:18) "Pride goes before destruction, and an haughty
spirit before a fall.
Pride can literally be crippling. It’s human nature to
try and solve trials ourselves instead of looking to God for the help
that only he can provide.
This kind of pride can only lead to disgrace.
(Proverbs 11:2) When pride comes, then
comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
If we want God’s help we have to first admit that we
have a problem with pride and then and only then can we humbly seek the
help that only God can give.
With all these verses in the Bible warning us not to
be prideful, it is no surprise (Proverbs 29:23)
That a man's pride brings him low, but a man of lowly spirit gains
honor.
Don’t be to proud to be humble.
